Will Ferrell’s going out to the ballgames today at Spring Training and will play every position for 10 different teams. It’s all for a new HBO special from Funny or Die that will raise money for the fight against cancer. Ferrell will also be honoring legendary All-Star shortstop Bert Campaneris who became the first Major Leaguer to play every position on the field in the same game in 1965. It’s rumored that Campaneris may even be on deck at the games to help him out.
You’ll have a chance to own your favorite Ferrell jersey as memorabilia from the big day will be auctioned at MLB.com. The proceeds from the auction will go to Cancer for College and Stand Up To Cancer.
Ferrell’s Cactus League Tour will include playing one inning in five different games. Follow the fun with the #FerrellTakesTheField hashtag.

Gotta admit, I’m most excited to see him wearing Dodger Blue. This isn’t the first time Ferrell has taken over a position for the Dodgers organization. He once took over the duties of PA Announcer and read the starting lineup when I was working for the team. This was definitely one of the highlights of my career!
